Our Team.

Mahogany Physiotherapy & Massage is a family owned practice that provides quality care from a team of experienced professionals. Our compassionate team works diligently to ensure you receive a personalized and caring experience that gets you back on your feet as soon as possible.

Jen is a physiotherapist and the proud owner of Mahogany Physiotherapy & Massage. She graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and went on to complete her Masters in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston. She has been a practicing physiotherapist since 2006 and was the clinic director for a large company in Calgary. She is passionate about helping people get better and improve their quality of life. She believes in personalized, hands-on treatment as opposed to only machine based treatment.
Jen cares about her patients. This is reflected in each treatment and experience with her. She has completed Level 3 in Manual Therapy and is certified in acupuncture and hip rehabilitation. Jen has completed the Diagnostic Imaging course through the University of Alberta and has completed post graduate courses for the foot and the hips as well as myofascial release.

Jennifer Cichon - B.Sc K, M.ScPT, CAFCI

Owner / Physiotherapist

Jillian is a graduate of the University of Alberta’s Master’s of Physical Therapy program, and also graduated with honours from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a minor in Dance. Jillian’s treatment philosophy focuses on ensuring client education and empowerment, taking an individualized and client-centered approach, and utilizing movement as medicine or “motion is lotion”. She combines therapeutic exercise, patient education and self-management strategies, soft tissue mobilization and manual therapy, and dry needling into her practice to help her clients achieve their rehab goals. 

As a former dancer who spent many years on the patient side of physiotherapy, Jillian has a strong interest in treating other dancers, artistic athletes and younger athletes, with a focus on injury prevention. She is committed to life-long learning and has completed several post-graduate certifications over a range of topics, including: Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Dry Needling, Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Dysfunction Management, and Assessment and Treatment of Dancers and Artistic Athletes. And she doesn’t plan on stopping there! 

In her spare time, Jillian enjoys a variety of activities to keep her moving including biking, yoga, strength training, and hiking. She also enjoys baking, sitting down with a good book, and watching re-runs of her favorite movies and TV shows.

Physiotherapist

Roya graduated from University of Jordan in 2003.
She has worked with everyone from pediatrics to geriatrics including neurology, post op orthopedics conditions, sports injury, cardiovascular TMJ and pulmonary health.
Roya is certified in Acupuncture, functional dry needling, level 2 of manual therapy, k taping , Mackenzie protocol ,Graston technique, Vestibular therapy and  Pelvic floor physiotherapy. 
On a personal level, Roya is a fitness and wellness enthusiast. She is a second degree black belt in Taekwondo from world Taekwondo federation in Soul S.Korea. She enjoys running , swimming, and workout in the gym. She also enjoys hiking in the mountains and occasionally cycling.

Roya Hamad - Bsc, PT, CAFCI, IMS, PH, Ves

Physiotherapist, Pelvic Health

Malyne is a physiotherapist graduate from Belgium. After receiving her Masters in Physiotherapy, she worked in hospitals, private clinics, and in home care.  She has worked with patients of all ages.  She has had the opportunity to travel and provide physiotherapy services in multiple countries including; Belgium, France, and French Guyana.  She has successfully transferred her physiotherapy degree to Canada and is fully registered.

Malyne chose to become a physiotherapist because she is passionate about biomechanics and the function of the human body.  She is determined to build the right treatment plan for each and every patient. Malyne's clinical interests are in manual therapy, sports injuries, Thai stretching, TMD and geriatrics.  She is planning to receive her full IMS certification this upcoming fall.

Aside from work, Malyne enjoys doing Crossfit, hikes and walking with her 110lbs great dane, and spending time with her family and friends!

Malyne can provide physiotherapy treatments in French and English.

Malyne Sean - BPT, MPT, TMD, IMS, ART

Physiotherapist

Gaurangi is a Registered Physiotherapist with over 10 years of experience in orthopedic and sports injury rehabilitation within multidisciplinary private practice settings. She earned her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India in 2012, and has been practicing in Canada since 2016. She has over 8 years of experience practicing in Calgary, including 3.5 years as a co-owner of a multidisciplinary clinic, where she further developed her strengths in clinical care, leadership, and collaborative practice.

Gaurangi takes a patient-centered approach, combining hands-on manual therapy with active, exercise-based rehabilitation to help individuals recover effectively and prevent recurrence. She has a special interest in treating orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation, with a focus on long-term outcomes and patient education.

She is committed to ongoing professional development and has completed advanced training in Level III Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy, functional dry needling, and anatomical acupuncture. She has also completed additional training in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management.

Outside the clinic, Gaurangi enjoys working out, spending time in the mountains, hiking, camping, and walking with her dog, as well as cooking and spending quality time with her family.

Nicole is a graduate of the University of Alberta’s Master of Science in Physical Therapy program. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Calgary. Before pursuing her career in physical therapy, Nicole was a competitive figure skater at the national level, where she developed a deep appreciation for both the joy movement brings and the challenges posed by injury.
Nicole combines hands-on treatment, guided exercise, and patient education to help individuals achieve their personal health goals. She is passionate about supporting her patients' recovery and well-being. With experience working with individuals of all ages, from pediatrics to older adults, Nicole uses her in-depth knowledge of the body to provide effective care and help patients improve.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys exploring new sports, strength training, baking, and reading. She is thrilled to be back in Calgary, ready to explore the stunning mountains that await her!

Nicole Joe MSc PT

Physiotherapist

Greene is a dedicated physiotherapist with extensive experience in both private and public practice. She earned her Bachelor of Science Specialized Honours in Kinesiology from York University in 2016, followed by a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2019.

After starting her career in Toronto, Greene relocated her practice to Calgary in 2023. She has extensive experience treating a diverse range of conditions, including neurological, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal disorders. Her approach focuses on creating personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s unique needs, with the goal of optimizing recovery and enhancing overall well-being. 

Passionate about evidence-based practices and compassionate care, Greene is committed to helping her patients achieve their health and functional goals. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, camping and playing volleyball. Additionally, she is fluent in Tagalog.

Tunde Okikiolu, DPT, is a dedicated Physical Therapist with a passion for supporting individuals with physical disabilities and helping them regain independence. With over 30 years of experience, Tunde possesses a unique combination of expertise as a Physical Therapist, Return-to-Work Coordinator, and a post-graduate degree in social work, bringing a holistic approach to rehabilitation. His global experience spans the United States, Canada, Ghana, India, and Nigeria, encompassing a range of settings, including acute care, outpatient facilities, private practices, and workplace rehabilitation.

Tunde specializes in treating orthopedic conditions such as osteoarthritis and post-surgical rehabilitation, including knee, hip, and shoulder replacements. His expertise also extends to neurological recovery (stroke, brain injuries), work-related injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and musculoskeletal issues, post-fracture care, and injuries affecting the neck, back, and limbs. Using Movement Systems strategies, he analyzes movement patterns to identify alignment issues and muscle imbalances, complementing this with Exercise Therapy and Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM), functional dry needling, cupping, and Gua Sha. He has certifications in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). 

Tunde holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from a leading university in the United States and is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys reading, writing, and spending quality time with his wife and three sons.

Dr. Kristen started her career earning her Doctor of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. She is proud to say she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She returned home in fall of 2021 to serve the wonderful community of Calgary.

As a Chiropractor, Dr. Kristen focuses on the treatment of acute and chronic neuromusculoskeletal injuries, as well as family wellness care. She strongly believes in a combination of soft tissue therapy, spinal and extremity manipulations, and patient education to help her patient's overcome, adapt and thrive even in the face of injury. Therefore, you can expect a full body approach when it comes to achieving your wellness! She is passionate about making her community healthy and happy, and continues to upgrade her knowledge with seminars, conferences and webinars. She is keen in understanding the latest information on how to best serve your needs.
On weekends you can expect Dr. Kristen to be exploring Calgary, enjoying a great cup of coffee, or spending time with her fiancé and dog, Duke.

Dr. Kristen Herman

Chiropractor

Dr. Chelsea Nelson earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic, in December 2018, where she graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors, from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California.

Dr. Nelson is originally from Vancouver Island, but calls Calgary home. Prior to her post-graduate studies, she completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary, November 2012.

Dr. Nelson’s practice consists of using evidence-based approaches to provide the best quality care for her patients. She uses diversified chiropractic adjustments, activator, drop table and flexion-distraction, as well as soft tissue therapy and provides stretching and strengthening exercises to further aide in the recovery process. She is certified in Smart Tools, K-Tape, FMT RockPods Myofascial cupping, Webster Technique, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and trained in Class IV laser and shockwave therapies. She also offers custom orthotics.

Her ambition is to assist patients in achieving their optimal health goals by decreasing musculoskeletal dysfunctions and allowing them to focus on optimizing function in their daily lives.

In her spare time, Dr. Nelson enjoys travelling, camping, cheering for the Calgary Flames, stand up paddle boarding, and spending time with her dog, Pyper.

Dr. Chelsea Nelson

Chiropractor

Meagan grew up in Calgary Alberta with a love for playing many sports, such as Hockey, Lacrosse, and softball. She gets to pass on that passion for the love of those games to her 2 beautiful children, along with the knowledge on what our bodies can do for us. 

With nearly a decade of nursing experience behind her as an LPN, and now with a recent 2200hr diploma through Makami College. Her goal is to provide the best patient-centered care, treatment, and prevention of injuries. 
Her specialties include deep tissue, therapeutic massage, and cupping.

Meagan (Robinson) Mazurek

Registered Massage Therapist 3000Hr

Please note that Sheryl is unable to provide deep tissue massage at this time.   
Sheryl has been a massage therapist since 2001. She graduated from the Lethbridge College in 2001 with honors and on December 2013 she wrote and passed her 2200hr Competency Equivalency Exam (CEE) at Mount Royal University. 

 Sheryl is trained in a wide variety of techniques such as Trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, myo-fascial cupping, and basic Lymphatic drainage. In 2003 she worked at the University of Lethbridge Health and Wellness centre  performing massage therapy to students and faculty members, and in conjunction with medical doctors and onsite chiropractors and physiotherapists. 
      
In 2016 Sheryl traveled to the Mayan Riviera on a massage conference to learn Integrated Ear, Hand, and Foot reflexology for injury and pain. She loves to continuously learn new techniques to better aide her clients needs.

 When she is not not working, Sheryl loves to travel and be outdoors. She is happiest camping outside or hiking. In 2013 she attempted the West Coast Trail. You will have to ask her about all the stories with that adventure!

Sheryl McFadzean

With over a decade of experience as a registered nurse in China, Betty has always approached client care with patience and attentiveness, bringing the same mindset into her massage practice. She provides treatments including Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, and Dynamic Cupping, helping clients release tension, restore balance, and feel their best. Working closely with the clinic team, she strives to create a supportive and welcoming environment for every client. Outside of work, Betty enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, attending live music events, and volunteering at local seniors’ homes, which keep her inspired and connected to the community.

Betty (Yan) Yang

Jovana graduated from the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy in May 2015, and has worked as a massage therapist since then. Jovana has been teaching anatomy and pathology, as well as massage theory and assessment since September 2016. She has completed her certification in ‘Understanding Regulations’ for massage therapists. She also versed in prenatal massage and lymphatic drainage.

Jovana cares about her clients well being, both their physical and mental health. Her dream has always been to work in a clinic setting with other health care professionals where everyone can work together to offer the best treatment plan for the clients.

Krista is graduate of Makami College. 
While experienced in many modalities, she has special interest in therapeutic treatments, specifically regarding deep tissue massage, TMJ dysfunction, headache/migraine relief, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, orthopedic assessment, and postural rehabilitation. She has also received additional certification in nerve flossing techniques.
As someone who has in-depth experience with the debilitating physical effects of stress on the mind and body, she is deeply passionate about being able to help other people with their stress and pain management.

Krista Bleile-White

Ilyn is a Registered Massage Therapist and former Registered Nurse from the Philippines, driven by her passion for helping people feel their best. Her curiosity about the therapeutic benefits of massage led her to pursue studies at the Alberta College of Massage Therapy, where she graduated with Honours with Distinction.

With experience in both clinical and spa settings, Ilyn is dedicated to helping clients reduce pain, relieve tension, and improve their overall quality of life. She specializes in Swedish and non-Swedish techniques, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and pre- and post-natal massage.

Ilyn believes in the importance of lifelong learning and continues to expand her knowledge to better support her clients’ needs. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors with her children, and expressing her creativity through baking and cooking.

Since graduating from Makami College’s 3000-hour Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy program in 2017, Marcela has dedicated her career to the intersection of technical expertise and compassionate care. She treats each session as a collaboration, listening closely to her clients' concerns to develop customized treatment plans that foster long-term wellness. With extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal and overuse injuries, as well as neurological and stress-related conditions, Marcela utilizes a diverse clinical toolkit. She specializes in: Therapeutic Massage, Myofascial Release, Cupping, Trigger Point Therapy, Active Release Therapy and Prenatal Massage.  Outside of the clinic, Marcela finds balance through workout, reading, and enjoys savoring good cuisine.

Katie moved to Calgary in 2022 and is happy to now call it home. Bringing over 5 years of experience in healthcare administration and many more in customer service, she strives to foster strong patient relationships and enjoys playing a role in helping patients achieve their goals as well as ensuring a smooth and positive experience from the first point of contact.  Katie is also trained in MVA and WCB administration.  When not working, Katie enjoys spending time with her family and friends and finding new activities to do in the community

Melody has a great deal of experience working in customer service and front desk, with over 6 years in the industry. She is trilled to become part of the team at Mahogany Physiotherapy & Massage and is dedicated to providing you with the best service once you step into the door of our clinic. 

Melody is originally born in Argentina and has fluency in English, French & Spanish.  During her down time, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding and spending time with her family.

She has previously worked in a hospital supporting patients and in customer service at a fitness and recreation center.
